Dive with Flow : Komodo

Komodo – What does it entail?
Komodo is honestly one of the best dive trips I’ve had. I’ve always likened it to an underwater rollercoaster (for its currents) which may be daunting to some, but exhilarating to me! So just imagine how amazing the dives would be if it was an underwater rollercoaster, frequented by beautiful majestic mantas and teeming with healthy colourful coral reefs.
Diving in Komodo – What does it entail?
Komodo National Park includes three large islands; Komodo, Rinca and Padar, and also include many little islands to cover a total area of more than 1,800 km2 of ocean and land.
So, what is it like to dive in Komodo?
Situated in the Flores Sea, its topography is the reason for its strong currents. And with strong currents, comes huge pelagic fishes. It is almost a guarantee to see huge oceanic mantas all around Komodo! If you are lucky, you may even spot a black manta or an Albino manta! The amount and variety of fish is unreal, millions of reef fish of all shapes, colors and sizes, plenty of massive pelagic fish and sharks hunting in crystal clear water on the pristine coral reefs.
The highlights for most that visit the park are the massive manta rays gliding around underwater and the Komodo Dragons walking on Komodo and Rinca islands. Komodo is mainly about the big stuff, but do not underestimate the macro life in the park, we saw some amazing things; blue ringed octopus, sea horse, crocodile fish and more. You will also visit the famous pink beach along the way!

Tipping – As the country’s main source of income lies on tourism and service, tipping is a huge culture in Komodo. Check with your group lead on what would be a suitable amount of tip for your guide, crew and team.
