If you’ve always wanted to learn how to dive, now is the best time to do it and you can do so right in the heart of Petaling Jaya!
Diving instructor Melanie Hwa patiently took us through each step, from wearing the gear and explaining each part, to teaching us breathing skills underwater and what to do in an emergency.
She was thorough with each step and guided us individually to learn at our own pace.
You won’t need any prior scuba diving skills to attend, but it would help to know some basics in swimming.
Even if you can’t swim, Melanie says that you can try out the class – as long as you don’t have a fear of water!
Children as young as eight years old are welcome to join the programme too. In fact, it might even be easier because most kids tend to be fearless when it comes to water activities, she explained.
After completing the beginner class, you can take your diving to the next level by becoming a certified scuba diver
Flow Dive Centre provides courses for higher levels and diving trips once you’ve received your license.
The first level to scuba diving is the PADI Open Water Diver course. With this lifetime license, you will learn all the basic skills to be a competent diver underwater.

There’s even a little section at the centre for you to chill and have a drink
Perfect weekend activity with a group of friends!

So if you’re looking for a new activity to do with a group of friends or a break from shopping mall air, we highly recommend taking up one of their classes!
