What is it like Diving in Banda Sea
Written by Melanie Hwa, January 2025.
Years ago, when I was just a baby diver – I overheard some experienced divers excitedly recounting their experience about their recent trip to the ‘Pacific Ring of Fire’. Impressed, I thought – “What amazing diving must hold at this beautiful name with such formidable name!”
This year, we are finally organizing a trip to this once in a lifetime, must-visit location! So, join us on this epic trip!
What can you see in Banda Sea?
UNDERWATER
As our LOB starts out from Ambon, be prepared to be pampered with one of the best macro dive sites in the whole world! Famous for its endemic Psychedelic Frog Fish (only known to be found here!) alongside the Olive Sea Snakes are one of the highlights every macro lover should see!

Of course, alongside other favourite macro life such as the Rhinopias Scorpion Fish, Mandarin fish, Bobtail Squid, Harlequin shrimp – just to name a few.
As the LOB sails to Banda Neira, it is time to switch gears to the graceful and majestic pelagic! Be ready to witness the grandeur of swimming with schools of Hammerheads, Whales, Manta rays and Whaleshark!

It is due to this interesting geological fact – this place is rich with nutrients, attracting and cultivating life both beneath and above the surface!
And yes! We will be doing an underwater Hotspring dive in MANUK. Check out this special diving experience!
